Job summary

Maximus seeks a Community Resource Coordinator to oversee and integrate family and community support programs across the SOF enterprise. The role involves building relationships with internal/external agencies, identifying service gaps, and supporting resilience and well-being of service members and families.

U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance or eligibility are required for contract performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of professional experience OR equivalent education/experience.
• Specialized training in peer support counseling, community resources and referrals, and suicide prevention preferred.
• Knowledge of DoW, USSOCOM, and community resources to support service members and families.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project staff, client office personnel, and community agencies to address and resolve project-related issues effectively.
• Deliver public speaking sessions and educational programs to community agencies and local office staff, including community health fairs and group presentations.
• Report concerns, problems, and issues to Leadership promptly.
• Supervise and oversee the activities of Outreach Client Service Representatives.
• Maintain a professional demeanor representing the organization and advocating for the program.
• Distribute program materials to diverse community groups.
• Adhere to Wage & Hour policies and ensure breaks for non-exempt employees.
• Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and mandated training.
• Organize and oversee peer support networks for assigned commands; recruit counselors; ensure vetting and training.
• Collect, document, and report program needs, activity data, and evaluation results to support formativ e and outcome evaluations.
• Collect data from focus groups, unit meetings, and program evaluations to support assessments.
• Support commands at multiple levels and locations; act as liaison for community and family support matters.
• Develop programming tailored to demographic groups, locations, and identified community needs.
• Maintain knowledge of DoW resources and related support programs (e.g., Military OneSource, MFLCs).
• Lead or support CRC official processes, networking opportunities for families (orientation, referrals, deployment prep, reintegration).
• Contribute to family and service member programs and career transition activities.
• Support resilience and behavioral health awareness activities and education efforts.
• Assist in developing CRC SOPs and service provision protocols.
• Maintain awareness of emergency response protocols.
