Job summary

LSU New Orleans is seeking a program coordinator to serve as a vital link between parish health units and community programs within the BRCO. You will meet clients at regional PHUs, conduct needs assessments, help clients set goals, and assist with social services applications.

You will document each client encounter in detail, prepare reports, attend scheduled meetings, and contribute to maintaining a directory of community resources across parishes to support public health and community

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree with required experience.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Attention to detail with strong follow-up.
Ability to manage projects and competing priorities.
Proficiency with Zoom, Teams, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Serve as a link between parish health units and community programs.
Meet clients in regional PHUs and conduct needs assessments.
Make regular follow-up calls and in-person visits.
Motivate clients to meet their identified goals.
Help clients with social issues like homelessness, hunger and employment.
Assist clients with making follow-up appointments and applications for Medical Assistance and SNAP.
Document each client encounter in detail.
Prepare reports and documents as needed or requested by program supervisors.
Attend scheduled program and regional meetings.
