Queen of Angels Monastery in Mt. Angel, Oregon is seeking a Community Relations Manager to steward the 30-acre campus and engage with the local community in support of the monastery’s mission.

The role supervises volunteers, coordinates events, and develops partnerships while managing programs, budgets and outreach efforts to sustain a welcoming place of service and Christian ministry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, nonprofit management or related field and 5+ years relevant experience or equivalent.
• Strong budgeting, program planning and stakeholder outreach capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic planning, implementation and evaluation for monastery operations, staffing and systems.
• Lead outreach, site tours and major gifts/grants support for monastery operations.
• Oversee volunteers and co-ordinate with the volunteer coordinator on policies.
• Develop a plan with the ops team to host community events within a sustainable framework.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to preserve historic buildings and grounds for ministry.
• Maintain flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
