Position Job Title: Community Reinvestment Analyst II

Job Description

The Community Reinvestments Analyst II plays a critical role in advancing the Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Fair Banking compliance programs. This position is responsible for leading data analysis, regulatory reporting, and strategic initiatives that demonstrate the Bank’s commitment to community development. The Analyst serves as a subject matter expert (SME), providing guidance to internal stakeholders, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring the Bank’s CRA performance aligns with regulatory expectations and corporate values.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
Regulatory Compliance & Reporting

Lead the collection, qualification, and documentation of CRA investments, services, and community development loans and other reporting critical for preparation for the CRA exam. Prepare and maintain CRA and Fair Lending performance context documentation. Conduct CRA and Fair Lending assessments, mapping, and reviews. Manage list of Branches, Loan Production Offices, and Deposit Production Offices in CRA-related systems such as RATA Comply, tracking openings, closings, and relocations. Conduct Branching Assessments for openings, closings, and relocations.

Strategic Analysis & Advisory

Analyze trends and identify gaps in CRA performance; recommend corrective actions to business units and market leaders. Serve as an internal advisor on CRA and Fair Banking matters, offering guidance on regulatory changes and best practices. Assist in project management of regulatory change initiatives impacting CRA and Fair Banking programs.

Training & Mentorship

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to CRA staff and Spend Life Wisely Ambassadors. Develop and deliver CRA and Fair Banking training sessions to internal teams.

Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with senior management to communicate CRA performance and strategic priorities. Establish effective relationships with business units to ensure alignment with CRA goals and mitigate compliance risks.

Audit & Examination Support

Support internal and external audits and regulatory examinations related to CRA and Fair Banking. Maintain up-to-date procedures and documentation to ensure audit readiness.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

Adherence to all First United Policies and Procedures Complete all required compliance exams on an annual basis Willingness to travel occasionally for training or community engagement Performs other duties as requested by CRA Officer or Management.

Required Education and Work Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Public Policy, or related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum of 3 years of experience in CRA compliance, community development, or regulatory reporting.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in CRA software (e.g., RATA Comply) and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical and data interpretation skills. Familiarity with Jack Henry or other financial systems is a plus.

Core Competencies

Deep understanding of CRA and Fair Lending regulations. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including detail in preparing reports, correspondence, and community engagement materials. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated leadership, judgment, and problem-solving abilities while effectively managing multiple priorities and complex issues in fast-paced environment. Self-motivated and collaborative team player. Adherence to timelines and schedules with ability to prioritize tasks.
