First United Bank in San Antonio is seeking a Credit Analyst I to assess financial condition and creditworthiness of individuals and small businesses applying for credit, using cash flow analysis.
You will analyze loan data, prepare memos and reports for Loan Officers, manage risk in line with credit policy, and support loan filing and documentation. This role requires a bachelor’s in finance or accounting and 1–4 years banking experience.

Credit Analyst I
SUMMARY This position is responsible for analysis and monitoring the financial condition and credit worthiness of individuals and businesses applying for credit by using historical financial analysis and cash flow projections.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and Work Experience Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. Minimum of 1- 4 years banking industry experience. Six months experience with credit systems. Knowledge of accounting sufficient to understand and analyze the relationships between the different financial statements, in order to produce a written analysis. Technical/Functional Competencies Strong financial analytical abilities, with knowledge of financial ratios. Strong Excel skills. Good interpersonal, technical, problem solving, and written communication skills needed for preparation of credit memos and analysis of financial statements. Demonstrates initiative, judgment/discernment and self motivation to work with minimal supervision. Demonstrates resourcefulness and concern for quality by understanding systems and processes and suggesting changes when necessary to increase overall efficiency. Demonstrates dependability through good attendance and adherence to time lines and schedules.
