Job summary

Hyland Hills Park & Recreation District seeks a Recreation Coordinator - General Interest to develop, promote, administer, and evaluate community recreation programs and events serving participants of all ages. You will oversee a diverse portfolio and manage partnerships, staff, and budgets for successful delivery.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Recreation Administration or related field and at least two years of experience in recreation programming, with supervisory and budgeting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent
• Two+ years in recreation programming or related field preferred
• Experience supervising part-time or seasonal staff preferred
• Experience managing program budgets and cost-recovery objectives preferred
• RecTrac or similar software experience preferred
• Valid Driver License required
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 30 days preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, coordinate, promote, and evaluate recreation programs and services for diverse populations.
• Assess community needs and program performance to identify new opportunities.
• Plan, coordinate, and evaluate community events and festivals.
• Recruit and maintain relationships with contract instructors, vendors, sponsors, and partners.
• Coordinate facilities, equipment, staffing, and resources for programs and events.
• Develop and monitor program budgets and revenues.
• Monitor program performance and adjust to improve participation and financial outcomes.
• Supervise and train part-time staff, instructors, and volunteers.
• Maintain accurate program records and maintainDistrict resources.
