Job summary

The City of Claremont is seeking enthusiastic Recreation Leaders to support Youth Programs (TRACKS/YAC), Front Counter and Facility Rentals, and Senior Programs. This part-time, year-round role offers up to 25 hours weekly and requires evening/weekend availability for special events.

Duties include supervising sessions, answering phones, cash handling, registrations, and helping with facility setups. A 12th grade education and public-interaction experience are needed; a CA driver's license is

Qualifications

• Completion of the 12th grade, or equivalent.
• Experience working with the public.
• Must have a valid California Driver's License and acceptable driving record; CPR/First Aid certification possible.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 100–200 participants daily across Youth Programs, Front Counter, and Senior Programs.
• Answer phones, take messages, assist the public, and process program registrations.
• Cash handling, food prep/restocking, and inventory as needed.
• Set up/tear down for facility rentals and coordinate volunteer activities.
