Job summary

City of Santee is seeking a Recreation Leader (part time, temporary) to oversee and support community recreation programs and events. Under supervision of a Recreation/Special Event Supervisor, you will help ensure safe, engaging activities for participants and assist with program planning and execution.

The position is part-time, temporary and seasonal with a variety of shifts, including afternoons, summers, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Requires graduation from high school or equivalent; college coursework in recreation is preferred but not required.
• Experience in leadership roles or recreation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise participants, staff, volunteers and vendors in recreation programs or events.
• Assist in planning, monitoring, and execution of assigned recreation program.
• Lead field trips and outings; oversee equipment and material handling; manage program records.
