Job summary

City of Ceres is seeking a Senior Recreation Leader for the Central Valley community. This part-time role involves implementing program activities at a designated site and supervising staff, with some evening and weekend work required.

You will manage curricula, instruct participants, enforce rules, and maintain supplies while fostering positive relationships with participants, volunteers, and colleagues. A high school diploma and First Aid/CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of recreation programs and curriculum.
• Ability to work assigned program hours and communicate clearly.
• Learn City rules, policies, ordinances and program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implement daily program activities and supervise staff.
• Instruct participants and enforce program rules.
• Address behavior problems with sound judgment.
• Maintain and store program supplies and equipment.
• Establish respectful working relationships with participants, volunteers and staff.
• Assist training and directing staff and volunteers to ensure activities are completed.
• Provide information and open communication with appropriate individuals.
• Perform other program-related duties as assigned.
