Job summary

Charlotte County is seeking a Recreation Specialist to organize and lead programs, sports, and events across the County. You will coach participants, ensure facilities and equipment are event-ready, and foster safe, engaging environments that strengthen the community.

In this role, you'll work independently and as part of a team, develop programs, manage schedules, and communicate effectively with staff and the public.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of experience in customer service, physical education, recreation, summer camp programs, or volunteerism.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of departmental policies, plans, and procedures is preferred.
