Job summary

Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department is seeking a Recreation Specialist to plan, organize, and deliver diverse programs at the Elon Recreation Center. The role supports youth, adults, and seniors across areas such as athletics, arts and crafts, and health programs.

The position requires a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, and weekends. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Park and Recreation Administration or related field, or an equivalent mix of

Qualifications

• Experience planning and executing after-school programs.
• Experience with athletics such as basketball, volleyball, soccer, or flag football.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, lead, and evaluate programs and activities in a recreation center or park facility.
• Provide customer service and handle registrations, inquiries, and rentals.
• Ensure safety of participants and administer first aid when necessary.
