Job summary

Navy Region Northwest Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) at Naval Station Everett, WA seeks a Recreation Program Manager to support MWR activities for service members, families, retirees, and civilian employees.

You will plan events, manage facilities, coordinate with marketing, track metrics, and ensure safety standards while overseeing budgets and staff. Travel may be required; some weekend work may be needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a four-year undergraduate degree in Recreation or related subject and one year of professional experience or three years of specialized subject experience.
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office and manage budgets.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience planning and administering recreational facilities and activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and support special events, daily activities, classes, contests, trips and tournaments.
• Capture metrics and evaluate programs.
• Evaluate program delivery using surveys and patron feedback.
• Collaborate with marketing to promote programs.
• Create and manage published content (images and video).
• Develop partnerships with community organizations.
• Prepare monthly reports and area metrics.
• Monitor annual budgets and explain deviations.
• Ensure facilities meet safety, security, and sanitation guidelines.
• Provide on-the-job training and supervise staff as required.
