Job summary

Trinity Services, Inc. in Joliet, IL is seeking a Community Support Specialist (RSS) to provide hands-on recovery support, link clients to community resources, and work with a multidisciplinary team to help clients achieve independence and stability in the community.

Under supervision, the role may be filled by a Mental Health Professional or CRSS, with a preference for lived experience. Salary is $40,000–$45,000; schedule is Monday–Friday with 3 weekdays and 2 evenings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field or CRSS certification.
• WRAP Certification or desire to pursue WRAP Certificate.
• Completion of Safety Care training, CPR, and First aid upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides hands-on assistance to help clients achieve independence and stability in the community.
• Links participants to housing, transportation, benefits, finances; monitors medication adherence.
• Monitors progress toward recovery goals.
• Coordinates with CSC team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Participates in weekly team meetings and consults with Team Leader.
• Develops action plans to ensure safety and comfort in crisis situations.
• Uses problem solving and self-help strategies to support recovery.
