Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Psychiatrist to join our Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) for a 12-hour-per-week, on-site role. You will provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management, deliver outpatient psychotherapy in community settings, and work with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and promote recovery in the individuals we serve.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) with an active, unrestricted NC license.
• Board Certification in Psychiatry (ASAM certification or eligibility preferred).
• 5+ years experience treating individuals with mental illness.
• Expertise in treating serious mental illness, including: Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Bipolar I Disorder with Psychosis.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management.
• Deliver outpatient psychotherapy in community settings.
• Utilize evidence-based and emerging best practices in psychiatric care.
• Ensure coordination between mental health, substance use, and primary healthcare services.
• Consult with primary care providers to support comprehensive health needs.
• Guide and support ACT team members in clinical decision-making.
