Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a Program Assistant to support the Director of Social Services or the Community Program Coordinator in running Community Center programs for children and adults. This role contributes to emotional, physical and spiritual well-being by assisting in program delivery and supervision.

Responsibilities include implementing community services, fostering relationships with participants, and ensuring safety and order within the facility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• Training and/or education in leading social service programs preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and supervising Community Center programs for children and adults.
• Help build relationships with participants and parents.
• Enforce safety regulations and emergency procedures in the center.
• Maintain order and proper use of facilities and equipment.
• Open and close the community center as needed.
• Support cleaning and upkeep of the facility during programming.
