Burkentine and Sons Builders Inc is seeking a Porter to maintain cleanliness and the aesthetic appeal of our community. You will collect trash, manage litter, and ensure common areas are tidy and welcoming for residents and visitors.

The role requires outdoor work in various weather conditions, strong attention to detail, and the ability to interact professionally with residents. Training in safety guidelines will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in janitorial or maintenance roles preferred but not required.
• Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and operate cleaning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work without direct supervision.
• Excellent communication and friendly demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Trash Collection: Regularly patrol the property to collect trash from areas such as parking lots, sidewalks, common areas, and amenity spaces.
• Sorting and Disposal: Separate recyclable materials from general waste and dispose of them appropriately.
• Litter Management: Proactively identify and remove any litter or debris to maintain a clean and attractive environment.
• Equipment Care: Safely operate and maintain all tools and equipment used for trash collection, reporting any issues or repair needs to the maintenance team.
• Reporting: Report any maintenance or cleanliness issues observed during trash collection rounds to the appropriate supervisor for timely resolution.
• Community Engagement: Interact courteously with residents and guests, providing assistance when needed and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
• Seasonal Responsibilities: Assist with seasonal tasks such as leaf blowing, snow removal, and other outdoor maintenance duties as required.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure personal safety and the safety of others while performing job duties.
• All other duties as assigned.
