Job summary

The Salvation Army Northern Division Fargo Corps is seeking a Community Relations and Volunteer Coordinator to build relationships, engage volunteers, coordinate communications, and drive local support for programs and events in Fargo, ND.

Responsibilities include leading the Red Kettle Campaign, developing partnerships, and ensuring consistent branding across outreach materials. The role requires evening/weekend work and regular local travel within the community.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in communications, marketing, nonprofit management, public relations, business, human services, or a related field.
• Two years of related experience in community engagement, volunteer coordination, communications, marketing, nonprofit services, or a related field preferred.
• Experience building community partnerships and working with volunteers preferred.
• Must pass required background checks and possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead volunteer engagement and manage local implementation of Red Kettle Campaign.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and partners.
• Coordinate Corps communications and social media to promote programs and events.
• Provide logistical support for programs, events, and seasonal campaigns.
