Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions is seeking a Community Relations professional to engage with local organizations, learn about missions, and share information about our workforce initiatives. You will stay updated on state and local guidelines, coordinate across departments, and build ongoing relationships to connect clients with jobs and trainings.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least three years in community relations or staffing, with strong customer service and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, education, human resources, liberal arts or related area; 3 years’ experience.
• Familiarity with the served communities and local needs preferred.
• Experience in fast-paced, performance-driven team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and engagement skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with publicly-funded programs; TANF experience preferable.
• Ability to assess needs and provide reasonable accommodations.
• Knowledge of laws and regulatory requirements related to program responsibilities.
• Ability to use various electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Meet with community organizations to learn about missions and share information about our mission and goals.
• Maintain current knowledge of state and local guidelines and regulations.
• Act as liaison between departments to meet client needs.
• Conduct searches for suitable job openings and trainings for clients.
• Establish rapport with area community organizations and maintain relationships.
• Work with community organizations to identify job openings and training initiatives.
• Enlist cooperation of community and business leaders to increase awareness of services.
• Communicate with other departments to develop strategy and solutions.
• Represent WeCARE services to the community; host roundtables and meetings.
