Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions in Houston, TX seeks a Community Outreach & Partnerships Specialist to lead field outreach, guide eligibility, and support enrollment goals. This hybrid role combines in-person events with remote work and data-driven follow-up to convert leads into arrivals.

You will build partnerships with schools, youth programs, and local organizations, manage a pipeline, and ensure confidentiality while using digital systems to track activities and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a 2-year degree required (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Experience in community outreach, youth engagement, sales, customer service, recruiting, or similar fields.
• Strong comfort with online systems, digital communication, and data entry.
• Ability to work independently with strong follow-through and time management.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel daily within your assigned county.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain partnerships with schools, youth programs, community centers, social service agencies, local businesses, etc.
• Participate in outreach events, presentations, info sessions, tabling, festivals, and community fairs.
• Promote opportunities to underserved and underrepresented groups in your area.
• Guide prospective applicants step-by-step until they are ready to begin their application.
• Maintain consistent contact with your pipeline through calls, texts, emails, and face-to-face meetings.
• Keep thorough and timely notes in required online systems and ensure eligibility/documentation guidelines are followed.
