Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions is seeking a Community Outreach Specialist to deliver orientations, assist with WorkinTexas.com registrations, and conduct group or one-on-one workshops. You will screen for eligibility and help participants connect with employers.

Roles include data entry, reporting, and coordinating with community organizations. Travel between workforce centers is required, and bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or comparable years of related case management and job matching experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Reliable and able to work independently.
• Familiarity with local communities and resources.
• Public speaking experience.
• Proficient with word processing and spreadsheets.
• Ability to build professional relationships with management, coworkers and the public.
• Organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide program orientations and WorkinTexas.com registrations.
• Conduct workshops and presentations for participants.
• Screen participants for eligibility and assist with job search.
• Match participants with employers’ needs and postings.
• Ensure data entry, documentation, tracking and reporting are completed timely.
• Support team with workshops on interviewing, resume writing and job search techniques.
• Travel between sites and work with partner organizations.
• Maintain professional relationships with community organizations.
