Job summary

coLAB Arts is hiring a Development and Communications Coordinator to lead external communications and fundraising from its New Brunswick, NJ site. The role supports all grant applications, donor programs, and marketing collateral, working with staff leadership and a contracted marketing partner.

The position emphasizes grant writing, donor stewardship, newsletter production, and website content development, with evening/weekend events as needed.

Qualifications

• B.A. degree or equivalent with at least 3 years in communications or fundraising for arts/nonprofit.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Experience with donor management and grant processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the contracted marketing partner to manage deadlines and deliverables.
• Draft press releases and cultivate media contacts.
• Develop and manage grant applications and donor communications.
• Oversee bi-weekly newsletters and website content updates.
• Coordinate outreach with partner organizations and influencers.
• Plan and support fundraising events and donor stewardship activities.
