Job summary

WestCare Washington seeks a Community Outreach Coordinator / Research Assistant to support SAMHSA Adult Suicide Prevention Grant across King and Pierce Counties. You will build partnerships with local organizations, conduct outreach, collect data, support program evaluation, and report progress to the Program Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• Minimum two years in outreach, veteran services, behavioral health, suicide prevention or public health.
• Experience coordinating outreach activities and partnerships.
• Knowledge of veteran services, behavioral health and suicide prevention practices.
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain partnerships with local organizations and community resources.
• Represent the agency at events, health fairs and meetings to promote programs.
• Organize outreach events across King and Pierce Counties.
• Lead lethal means safety engagement with community partners and safe storage messaging.
• Coordinate with government and law enforcement on safety improvements.
• Maintain outreach calendar and track leads using program systems.
