Job summary

WestCare Washington is seeking a Community Outreach Coordinator / Research Assistant to support the SAMHSA grant in King and Pierce Counties, focusing on outreach, partnership development, data collection, and evaluation.

You will liaise with community stakeholders to raise awareness of suicide prevention resources, expand referral networks, and improve access to behavioral health services while assisting with performance reporting and project evaluation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• Two years of relevant experience in community outreach, veteran services, behavioral health, suicide prevention, public health, or community program coordination.
• Experience coordinating outreach activities and partnerships; ability to organize meetings and document commitments.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of WestCare Foundation.
• Serve as a community contact person to conduct program presentations and updates as needed.
• Monitor and coordinate outreach for the SAMHSA Adult Suicide Prevention Grant and report progress to the Program Director.
• Collaborate with grant partners to advance suicide prevention activities in King and Pierce Counties.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with local organizations and communities.
• Represent the agency at events to promote programs and services.
• Coordinate partner meetings and engagement activities to support task force participation.
• Assist the Project Evaluator with data collection, surveys, and evaluation reporting.
