Job summary

YMCA of Greater San Francisco is seeking an Associate Director, Outreach & Engagement for Buchanan YMCA's Community Wellness program. You will lead outreach efforts, build partnerships, and connect residents to programs that promote health equity and family engagement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years creating and implementing outreach plans.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multicultural communities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Availability Tuesday-Saturday, in-person role, with occasional evenings.
• Ability to manage multiple partnerships and projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, supervision, and daily operations of Community Wellness programs.
• Hire, train, coach, and supervise part-time wellness staff and volunteers.
• Ensure program implementation aligned with strategic priorities, safety, quality, and fiscal responsibility.
• Collaborate with health staff to develop and facilitate wellness classes and workshops.
• Integrate support services including family engagement and health services.
• Organize and implement community events, meetings, and outreach activities.
• Develop partnerships with funders and maintain required documentation.
• Support budget development, monitor expenditures, and manage contracts.
