Job summary

The Kaplen JCC on the Palisades in Tenafly, NJ is seeking a Jewish Family Programs & Events Coordinator to design and implement family-oriented Jewish experiences. You will cultivate relationships with families raising Jewish children, coordinate Shabbat experiences, holiday celebrations, and learning activities, and collaborate across departments to create a welcoming community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
• Three years of relevant Jewish communal work, family engagement, or event planning experience.
• Knowledge of Jewish traditions, holidays, and values.

Responsibilities

• Build authentic relationships with families to deepen engagement.
• Coordinate programming including Shabbat experiences, holidays, and family learning.
• Welcome Israeli families and connect them to the JCC and Jewish community.
• Support Heart-to-Heart initiatives across diverse communities.
• Coordinate outreach and community engagement activities to increase participation.
• Collaborate across JCC departments to integrate engagement opportunities.
• Develop family volunteer and service opportunities around Jewish values.
• Support partnerships with synagogues, schools, and community organizations.
• Assist with PJ Library Bergen East and PJ Library Parent Connector networks.
• Track participation and evaluate impact of programs.
