Job summary

Family Service of Rhode Island seeks a Community Outreach and Training Coordinator to locate, create and track outreach opportunities for Ever Hope Center services and optimize community supports for continued partnerships and referral sources.

You will coordinate training, programming and events with community partners and providers. Build rapport with not only providers, but community members to educate on eligibility criteria and combat stigma around behavioral healthcare.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services field or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient with medical record software and database tools.
  • Spanish speaking preferred; bilingual skills compensated.
  • Flexible schedule with some evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent multitasking and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

FSRI is always looking for candidates that want to make a positive impact on the community!Position Summary: The Community Outreach and Training Coordinator will be responsible for locating, creating and tracking opportunities for outreach about Ever Hope Center services and optimize community supports for continued partnerships and referral sources. Responsible for coordination, scheduling and facilitation of trainings provided by the Ever Hope Center. Coordinate training, programming and events with community partners and providers. Build rapport with not only providers, but community members to be able to educate on eligibility criteria and basic expectations of all programs and combat stigma surrounding behavioral healthcare by being culturally competent, approachable and engaging.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a human services field or equal relevant experience requiredSkilled in operating various medical record software and hardware, word-processing, and database software programsSpanish Speaking preferred and is compensatedFlexible schedule with some evenings and weekendsExcellent multitasking and communication skills a mustAbility to work independently and part of a teamBilingual/ASL skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay.Multilingual skills are compensated by an additional 8%, above base pay.Physical Requirements: This position requires community visits, employees in this position must have the ability to:Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, registration and auto insuranceAbility to communicate effectivelyTravel to and from community locations and office site, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevatorsAbility to lift up to 20lbsDon’t meet every single requirement?
