Job summary

J Street Property Services in the United States (Texas, Celina) seeks an Assistant Community Director to support the Community Director with financial and resident-facing responsibilities, ensuring timely collections, renewals, and strong resident relations on-site.

You will help protect revenue, drive retention, and keep daily operations moving while preparing for future leadership growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• 2+ years of multifamily housing, leasing, collections, or related property management.
• Solid knowledge of collections, lease renewals, resident relations, and on-site operations.
• Strong communication, organization, problem solving, and follow-through.
• Ability to balance resident service with financial accountability and present difficult information professionally.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi, OneSite, CRM, or similar platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own revenue protection by monitoring collections, delinquencies, payment plans, and account activity.
• Lead renewal follow-up and conversations to support retention and reduce turnover.
• Track renewal activity and communicate risks or opportunities to the Community Director.
• Assist with pricing discussions by reviewing market conditions and community performance.
• Support leasing activities, tours, applications, and move-in assistance as needed.
• Respond promptly to resident questions and concerns and ensure follow‑through.
• Build strong resident relationships to improve satisfaction and retention.
• Support resident events and engagement efforts.
• Maintain accurate resident, lease, collection, renewal, and operations data in the PMS.
