Job summary

UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is seeking a regular full-time Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator (RN) to support the Community Oncology Clinical Research Services (CRS) teams at our Hamot Oncology network office in Erie, PA. This role offers a $6,000 sign-on bonus and a Monday through Friday daylight schedule.

The coordinator will collaborate with physicians and research staff to coordinate oncology trials, screen and enroll patients, ensure protocol compliance, and contribute to data collection

Responsibilities

Utilizes multiple communication methods to facilitate the effective conduct of research.
Manages care of research participants, ensuring protocol adherence and reporting requirements.
Identifies opportunities for quality improvement to colleagues and management.
Provides detailed teaching to patients and families to guide them through the study.
Enhances recruitment strategies while considering diverse patient populations.
Demonstrates leadership to ensure informed consent is understood and safety is maintained.
Ensures ethical practices and regulatory compliance in research activities.
Takes responsibility for improving patient satisfaction with care and service.
Leads the research team in data collection and documentation integrity.
Pursues ongoing professional development through memberships and resources.
Participates in departmental quality improvement efforts.
