Job summary

World Relief Western Washington (WRWW) Thurston County Office seeks an experienced, well-organized staff member to mobilize local community groups, churches, and individuals to join our mission of serving the vulnerable, particularly refugee and immigrant communities. This position reports to the Thurston County Site Manager and assists with public relations, marketing, and fundraising.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating volunteers or community programs.
• Ability to train and mobilize faith communities and volunteers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow a diverse network of local churches and faith communities to serve refugees and immigrants.
• Equip and mobilize leaders, congregations, and community members to engage refugees and immigrants.
• Provide ongoing training and support for churches and organizations serving refugees and immigrants.
• Public speaking at community groups, events, and schools.
• Coordinate webinars and video conferences to inform the community on refugee needs.
• Implement a strategy for sustainable volunteer recruitment and onboarding.
• Participate in staff and departmental meetings in Thurston office and with Outreach teams.
