Job summary

The Alzheimer's Association is seeking a Community Engagement Specialist to lead volunteer management, build grassroots networks, and expand reach of community programs across the Greater San Francisco Bay Area. You will recruit, coach, and deploy volunteers, cultivate partnerships, and collaborate across fundraising, advocacy, and program teams to ensure impactful delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Three years of experience in program delivery or volunteer management.
• Experience in community health or community mobilization is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, coach, and manage volunteers to build grassroots movements in the Bay Area and Chapter territory.
• Activate and support a portfolio of volunteers in select markets using Association methods.
• Cultivate and manage community partnerships, including with underrepresented groups.
• Demonstrate cross-functional collaboration with revenue, advocacy, leadership and other stakeholders.
• Evaluate and create improvement plans for volunteer performance as needed.
• Manage budgets, grant deliverables, documentation and timelines with precision.
• Inspire urgency and support for the Alzheimer's Association’s mission across communities.
