Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington seeks a Community Support Specialist to assist ACT clients in understanding their capabilities and setting recovery goals. The role supports adults with mental illnesses in a community-based program grounded in the Recovery Model.

You will provide counseling, skill-building in daily living, and collaboration to maximize stability. The position requires a valid DC driver’s license and experience with Credible EHR in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience with adults with mental health issues.
• Familiarity with mental health services in the Washington DC area.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling.
• Build daily living and life skills (ADL) in the community.
• Develop and update Individual Recovery Plans (IRP) and Crisis Plans (CP).
• Assist with entitlements and benefits and community linkages.
• Conduct crisis/symptom assessment and provide supportive therapy when needed.
• Attend ACT Team Morning Rounds and document services in Credible.
