Job summary

HOT Counseling in Waco, TX is seeking a QMHP-CS I/II (Case Worker) to perform case management in the community mental health setting. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, and timely documentation, with liaison duties to agencies for admission, treatment and discharge planning.

Supervisory duties may apply to therapists, volunteers, and students. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field, knowledge of mental health conditions, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in social work or related field.
• Knowledge of mental illness, rehab methods and casework basics.
• Ability to document interviews and results within 24 hours.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessment, diagnosis and treatment for eligible consumers.
• Acts as liaison with agencies, physicians and community resources.
• May supervise therapists, volunteers and students.
• Maintains timely clinical documentation and reports.
• Participates in budget planning, program development and team initiatives.
