Job summary

Good Shepherd – McGinty House is seeking a dedicated professional to provide primary case management for tenants across Emmaus Place, Mathias Place and McGinty House. The role emphasizes crisis prevention, planning and supportive counseling within an anti-racist, client-centered framework.

Required post-secondary education in social/health services, at least three years in mental health, and CPR certification (or willingness).

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in social or health services.
• Minimum of three years' experience in mental health and concurrent disorders.
• 'Recovery orientation' and 'consumer driven' style of practice is essential.
• Ability to work independently and think creatively.
• Ability to speak French and/or other languages considered an asset.
• CPR certification or willingness to be certified is required.
• Committed to anti-racist/anti-oppressive practice and to the mission and values of Good Shepherd.
• Observe all health and safety rules and work in compliance with the provisions of the occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide tenants with primary case management and community resources.
• Services to tenants include assessment & planning.
• Provide crisis prevention and intervention and supportive counseling.
• Demonstrate commitment to the Good Shepherd mission values of Hospitality, Responsibility, Availability, Adaptability, Quality and Dignity.
• Responsible for participating in Good Shepherd's Health and Safety programs, procedures and work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations.
