Job summary

The Laramar Group LLC is seeking a Community Manager in Chesapeake, VA. You will lead daily property operations, supervise staff, and ensure LIHTC compliance while maximizing occupancy and revenue.

Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, along with experience in residential property management and familiarity with housing regulations. Responsibilities include overseeing leasing, certifications, and resident files, while maintaining excellent resident relations and reporting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• 2+ years in residential property management or related field.
• Experience with LIHTC is required and certifications/recertifications familiarity.
• Strong knowledge of housing regulations and file compliance.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook; able to read/write English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee property operations to maximize occupancy and revenue.
• Supervise staff, including leasing consultants and maintenance teams.
• Ensure LIHTC compliance and resident file documentation.
• Manage leasing processes, applications, pricing, and renewals.
• Communicate with owners and maintain high resident relations.
