Job summary

Abode Communities is seeking a Property Manager to oversee rentals, tenant relations and property maintenance for multiple affordable housing properties in California. Responsibilities include collecting rents, maintaining records, ensuring compliance with Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, and pursuing timely collections.

You will supervise staff, coordinate maintenance, and ensure occupancy targets are met while aligning with Housing First principles.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of property management experience, including Tax Credit, HUD, and HOME program.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Computer literate (MS Office).
• Good English in communication.
• Bilingual Spanish-English a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply personnel policies and other policies for staff.
• Train or assist in training other site personnel.
• Prepare and review performance appraisals.
• Counsel employees regarding job performance with supervisor.
• Maintain the property office in a neat, business-like manner.
• Oversee maintenance of buildings and grounds.
• Show vacant apartments and lease units promptly.
• Address resident concerns professionally and timely.
