Job summary

Fairstead is seeking a proactive Community Manager to oversee daily property operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead on-site teams. You will manage leasing, tenant relations, and regulatory reporting, while coordinating with construction and maintenance for safe, compliant communities.

The role requires solid experience in affordable housing, occupancy certification, and proficiency with Yardi/RealPage.

Qualifications

• Three years of management experience including supervising a team.
• COS or CPO certification.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• EIV experience.
• Yardi and RealPage experience preferred.
• TCS certification for tax credit properties.
• Experience in Affordable Housing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to housing laws including HUD, Fair Housing, ADA, and FCRA.
• Maintain HUD 4350.3 Handbook knowledge and apply regulations.
• Coordinate responses to regulatory agencies with Compliance.
• Implement intervention strategies for non-compliant tenants.
• Prepare REAC, MOR, LIHTC reviews and recertifications.
• Assist tenants with requests and questions.
• Monitor arrears, litigation, and delinquencies.
• Document lease violations and coordinate evictions.
• Oversee rent collection, applications, and budgets.
• Produce management reports and coordinate on-site construction updates.
