Associa is seeking an experienced Community Manager (Portfolio) to lead a portfolio of associations from day one. You will serve as the trusted liaison to Boards and homeowners, guiding meetings, budgets, operations, and vendor oversight.

This role offers flexible hybrid work, and a full-time, on-site presence in San Diego, CA. This opportunity rewards independence, strong communication, and the ability to drive community standards across multiple neighborhoods.

• Own the full lifecycle of your portfolio and serve as the trusted partner to Boards and homeowners.
• Lead Board meetings, prepare agendas, and ensure timely follow-up.
• Manage association operations in line with governing documents and management agreements.
• Review financials and budgets, provide insights and recommendations.
• Oversee vendors, contracts, and capital projects.
• Manage compliance, collections, and risk awareness.
• Conduct site inspections and maintain community standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams, including the Client Shared Service Center.

What You’ll Do

Required

• Direct HOA / Community Management experience
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with Boards
• Working knowledge of financials, budgets, and operational planning
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and communities effectively
• Organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset

Preferred

• Industry certifications or licenses (CMCA, CCAM, AMS, etc.)

Work Environment

This is a highly interactive, relationship-driven role. You’ll spend time in the office, in the field, and working with communities. Local travel within your portfolio may be required.
