Job summary

Related Affordable specializes in preserving and enhancing affordable housing nationwide. We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our buildings and grounds safe, functional, and inviting for residents.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in general maintenance.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and on-call emergencies.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with Real Page One Site or similar software preferred.
• Strong skills in HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical repairs.
• General knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Affordable housing experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in a related trade preferred.
• Dedicated to exceeding expectations and providing exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests in a timely manner and interact with residents.
• Prepare vacant units to occupancy standards within established time frames.
• Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues immediately with management.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
• Perform cleaning and upkeep of common areas and grounds.
• Assist in emergency repairs and rotate on-call for emergency maintenance.
• Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and report shortages.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance activities in partnership with the supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
