Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with three months food-handling experience.
• Must obtain CPR, AED and First Aid certifications within six months of hire.
• Food Handler's Card must be obtained within six months of hire.
• Background checks including FBI check and a 39-month Motor Vehicle Record are required.
• May require a valid driver's license and driving eligibility for program vehicles.
• fluency in Tohono O'odham Language and English may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of menus and cooking of meals according to policies and guidelines.
• Assist in preparing and adhering to weekly menus and document substitutions.
• Store, label, and date food properly.
• Wash and dry pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen and dining areas.
• Serve meals as required.
• Purchase food products as needed.
• Assist in monthly food reports and daily meal counts.
• Perform domestic chores and other duties as assigned.
• Contribute to teamwork and overall service quality.
