Job summary

HOPE, Inc. is seeking a Kitchen Specialist to provide operations support at the Tucson site. You will prepare meals for 55+ members, transport members and goods, maintain a clean kitchen, and assist with site operations as directed by the Site Coordinator.

You will also manage supply orders, schedule maintenance for kitchen equipment, and help with program activities while promoting high standards of health and sanitation in line with health department guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have firsthand knowledge of a behavioral health condition or substance abuse.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Effective oral and written communications skills.
• Basic computer skills to maintain required trainings and documentation.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred within 90 days of hire.
• Negative TB test within the last year.
• Driver’s license with a clean MVR for the last 39 months.
• Able to lift at least 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Cooks hot breakfast and lunch for 55+ members daily.
• Plans weekly meals for members and staff.
• Maintains clean and organized kitchen facilities.
• Orders supplies and schedules maintenance for kitchen appliances.
• Learns and teaches cooking and nutrition skills to members as needed.
• Distributes food boxes as donations are available.
• Manages a monthly budget for supplies and food.
• Supports Site Director with operations, including front desk backup and janitorial duties.
• Provides transportation for members to appointments and services.
• Completes billing and transportation documentation.
