Job summary

RISE Services is seeking a compassionate Job Coach / Employment Specialist to assist individuals with disabilities in Bridgewater, Harrisonburg, and surrounding areas. You will support clients with job searching, applications, interview prep, and workplace readiness while traveling to employer worksites and community locations.

The position offers up to 29 hours per week with daytime hours on weekdays. Training is provided, and mileage is reimbursed for approved travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is not required.
• Relevant experience in disability services or related fields preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel locally and transport participants when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized coaching at employer worksites and in community settings.
• Help participants learn job duties, workplace routines, safety procedures, and employer expectations.
• Teach workplace communication, professional behavior, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Develop natural workplace supports that promote independence.
• Monitor progress and adjust coaching strategies as participants develop new skills.
• Provide ongoing support to promote successful job retention.
