Job summary

RISE Services is seeking a compassionate, dependable Job Coach / Employment Specialist to help individuals with disabilities prepare for, obtain, and maintain meaningful employment. This is a hands-on, community-based role meeting participants at employer worksites and community locations in Woodbridge and Stafford.

Training is provided, and the position offers up to 29 hours per week with daytime hours Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree is not required.
• Experience in disability services, education, behavioral health, human services, workforce development, career coaching, case management, direct support, retail supervision, customer service, or related teaching/helping roles preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required.
• Willingness and ability to travel locally and transport participants when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized job coaching at employer worksites and community settings.
• Help participants learn job duties, workplace routines, safety procedures, and employer expectations.
• Teach workplace communication, professional behavior, time management, problem-solving, and other employment skills.
• Support participants in communicating with supervisors and coworkers and developing natural workplace supports.
