Job summary

RISE Services Group is seeking a compassionate Job Coach / Employment Specialist for Bridgewater, VA. This part-time role supports individuals with disabilities in community settings, with travel to worksites in Bridgewater and surrounding counties. Training is provided, and mileage reimbursement is offered for approved travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree not required.
• Experience in disability services, human services, workforce development, or related fields preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to travel locally to community locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized coaching at employer worksites and in community settings.
• Help participants learn job duties, workplace routines, safety procedures, and employer expectations.
• Teach workplace communication, professional behavior, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Help participants communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
• Develop natural workplace supports that promote independence.
• Monitor progress and adjust coaching strategies as participants develop new skills.
• Provide ongoing support to promote successful job retention.
