Job summary

Goodwill of Central Iowa is seeking a full-time Job Coach to train, teach, and support individuals with disabilities or employment barriers in community employers across central Iowa.

You will coach participants at their workplaces, scheduling weekly hours, and documenting services provided. The role emphasizes confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and collaboration with supervisors and support teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in human services, psychology, sociology or HR.
• Or high school diploma/equivalent with 6 months+ related experience.
• Or 2–3 years in related field such as education, direct service, human services, rehab.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct employment support at participants' work sites.
• Plan weekly coaching hours with supervisor and program needs.
• Motivate participants to achieve work goals using program guidance.
• Assist with skills development and rehabilitation strategies.
• Help participants solve work-related problems and grow job skills.
• Maintain clear written and electronic communication with teams.
