Job summary

Goodwill of Central Iowa is seeking a part-time Job Coach to train, teach, or coach others by providing support and serving our community with our values of love, kindness, and respect. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in a relevant field (human services, psychology, sociology, or human resources).
• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 6 months related experience (education, direct service, human services, behavioral health, rehabilitation, certified coaching, etc).
• OR 2–3 years of related field experience (education, direct service, human services, behavioral health, rehabilitation, certified coaching, etc).
• Ability to work cooperatively with team members and the public.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct employment support to participants at their work sites and offsite.
• Plans weekly employment coaching hours with supervisor and program needs.
• Uses program knowledge to motivate participants to achieve work goals.
• Supports skill development through rehabilitation methods and strategies.
• Assists participants in analyzing and resolving work-related problems and grows their problem-solving at work.
• Communicates with participants, supervisors, and teams via multiple channels.
• Uses Outlook and planning tools to organize weekly/monthly schedules with the team.
• Creates and submits documentation for employment services within deadlines.
• Performs data entry in a database to support services.
• Follows confidentiality and HIPAA policies and related guidelines.
• Participates in training and meetings within the organization and community.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
