Job summary

Meritrust Credit Union in Wichita, KS is seeking an Entry-Level KS Community Impact Coordinator to promote the brand through community events and partnerships. You will manage calendars, coordinate volunteers, and support local marketing initiatives to drive referrals and visibility.

The role requires 2+ years in event planning or outreach, strong communication, and the ability to work evenings or weekends as needed. A 4-year degree is preferred for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Business Development, Community Development, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in event planning, community outreach, volunteer coordination, sales, marketing, or business development.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan and execute successful events and initiatives.
• Knowledge of community engagement principles and relationship-building best practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with community partners and organizations within assigned service areas to ensure timely, accurate, and effective communication regarding sponsored or supported events.
• Plan, organize, and execute community sponsorships and events, including internal and external communications, payment coordination, employee volunteer recruitment, collateral management, and photo capture for social media and marketing use.
• Coordinate and support community outreach programs and events that enhance public perception and promote the Credit Union’s products and services.
• Assist with planning and execution of larger, long-term brand sponsorships to maximize marketing exposure and business development opportunities.
• Maintain accurate community relations tracking and documentation for marketing analytics, compliance reporting, and internal reporting purposes.
• Represent the Credit Union in person at community events, check presentations, partner meetings, and public gatherings on a regular basis.
• Recruit, schedule, and organize employee volunteers for community service and business development events.
• Promote Credit Union products and services at community events and provide market feedback to Growth Strategies, Marketing, and branch leadership teams.
