Job summary

Royal Credit Union is seeking a Community Relations Intern to help plan and execute community events, create engaging content, and represent the credit union locally. You will support the Program Director of Community Relations and the Community Engagement team in a variety of outreach activities.

The role focuses on building brand awareness, coordinating media materials, and collaborating with internal teams to maximize community impact.

Qualifications

• Enrolled at a university or technical college for the duration of the internship.
• Pursuing a degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing or similar field.
• Bondable with valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Represent Royal Credit Union professionally at community events.
• Assist with planning/executing events and programs aligned with Royal’s mission.
• Create and distribute media content such as press releases, blogs, and social posts.
• Support internal programs like Volunteer and Kids' Club; collaborate with Marketing.
• Handle administrative tasks and suggest process improvements.
