Job summary

Five T Management seeks a Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Coordinator to support HUD-funded efforts across our Chicago-area portfolio. You will work with residents to set goals, connect them with services, manage escrow accounts, and track progress from enrollment through graduation.

This role is office-based with regular travel to properties across Chicagoland. Some evenings and weekends may be required for resident events.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Sociology, or a closely related field plus at least four years of housing-related program administration.
• Minimum of two years in a supervisory or program leadership role.
• Knowledge of HUD FSS regulations, including HUD 24 CFR Part 984.
• Familiarity with Chicagoland community resources and referral networks.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to document clearly and audit-ready.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Yardi or similar software.
• Ability to develop SMART goals with residents and track progress.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license and ability to travel within Chicagoland.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Meet with residents regularly to discuss goal progress and document case notes.
• Provide referrals to social services including employment, education, and financial resources.
• Conduct occasional home visits to assess needs and support participation.
• Coordinate life skills classes and produce a monthly activity calendar.
• Plan graduation ceremonies and issue press releases showcasing success stories.
• Coordinate and manage escrow accounts and ensure accurate monthly postings.
