Job summary

HACLA seeks a seasoned professional to lead community engagement, outreach, and related activities within the Community Affairs Department in Los Angeles. You will coordinate communications with internal teams and external agencies, oversee grant-funded initiatives, and build relationships with community leaders and residents to promote HACLA's mission.

The role requires a degree in communications or related field with several years in public outreach and some supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Communications, Public Relations or related field.
• 5 years in public outreach or community engagement.
• 2 years in supervision or lead responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, manage, and oversee community engagement programs.
• Coordinate department communications with other departments and external partners.
• Develop outreach strategies to inform residents and stakeholders.
• Oversee grant-funded programs and evaluate outcomes.
• Represent HACLA at community events and meetings.
