Job summary

SOME is seeking a Porter to maintain and clean facilities within our DC portfolio, ensuring a safe, comfortable home for residents. The role includes routine cleaning, light maintenance, and on-site coordination from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, totaling 40 hours per week.

Ideal candidates have at least a high school education or GED and 2 years of janitorial experience, with a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for site duties. Benefits are provided.

Responsibilities

• Follows the maintenance checklist to ensure facilities are safe and presentable. Provides regular cleaning of all common areas (bathrooms, lounges, kitchens, etc).
• Maintains building exterior through regular cleaning and grounds maintenance.
• Coordinates daily trash collections, empties trash containers and manages bulk or regular pick up.
• Maintains inventory of cleaning, maintenance, and building supplies.
• Provides snow and ice removal from walkways.
• Inputs work orders into the work order system as needed.
• Performs walk-throughs, move in/out and room inspections on a regular schedule.
